Butterfly screws in 1:35 scale, pattern number 4. A small accessory for refining models of military vehicles and dioramas.
Responsibility details are not available.
A butterfly screw is recognizable at a glance: it has two flat wings so that it can be tightened by hand without tools. On military equipment it turns up everywhere something has to be opened and fastened again quickly - on bin lids, on tool clamps, on covers, brackets and frames. In reality it is an inconspicuous little thing, but on a model it belongs among the details the eye notices, because they break up a smooth surface.
These are butterfly screws in 1:35 scale in the pattern marked number 4. In kits such fasteners are either only suggested by shallow relief or missing altogether; separate parts therefore move a model up a level, especially on the large smooth surfaces of covers and boxes.
Work over a light-colored surface and ideally in an enclosed space - parts of this size jump away and you will not find them on a carpet. Use tweezers with fine tips or a dampened brush tip to handle them. Mark the seating lightly in advance and drill it with a micro drill if needed. Apply the glue with the tip of a toothpick so that the drop does not flood the whole part; cyanoacrylate glue holds on the usual materials of small accessories. Paint them only after they are glued in place, together with the surrounding surface, and finish by picking the detail out with a dark wash in the groove under the head of the screw.
The accessory is for modelers who build in 1:35 scale and want to replace simplified or missing fasteners. Paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
