A pillar shrine (a wayside shrine) in 1:35 scale is a resin scenic accessory from the Czech manufacturer Plusmodel, which gives a diorama a Central European rural character.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not a vehicle model or a kit of equipment, but an independent building element for a diorama in 1:35 scale. The shrine is cast from polyurethane resin and consists of only a few parts, so even a modeler who is just starting out with resin will manage to build it. The manufacturer is the Czech company Plusmodel, which has long specialized in diorama accessories and figures in the large scale.
Pillar shrines and small chapels are among the typical marks of the rural landscape of Central and Eastern Europe. They stood by roads, at crossroads and at the edges of fields, and in many places they survived the buildings that grew up around them. In a diorama they therefore work as a landmark that reads clearly: they tell a viewer at once where the scene is set and at the same time balance the composition with the equipment and the figures.
First wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water so that the mold release residue disappears, and cut the casting blocks off carefully with a fine-toothed saw. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue, as classic cement for plastic does not hold on resin. After a primer has been sprayed, layered painting looks best: a light base of plaster or stone, a dark wash into the joints and a dry brush on the edges. Greenish pigments at the foot of the structure and a hint of moss give it a convincing age.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
