Road wheels with damaged tires, 1:35 scale, for a model of the British Chieftain tank. For scenes after an engagement and for a machine out of service for repair.
Responsibility details are not available.
Replacement road wheels for a model of the British battle tank Chieftain, modeled with damaged tires. Suitable for vehicles that are to look hit, worn or out of service for repair in a scene.
The Chieftain replaced the older type in the British army at the turn of the 1960s and brought two things by which it wrote itself into the history of armored equipment. The first was a massive 120 mm rifled barrel, the most powerful armament of a production Western tank of its day. The second was the reclining driver's seat: in the combat position while driving he lay almost on his back, which let the designers set the nose unusually low. The weak point remained the engine, which never managed to give the machine enough power. Besides British units, Middle Eastern armies operated it in numbers.
First plan out which wheels will be damaged and which will stay whole; randomness works better than regular alternation. Pick the bare metal exposed where the rubber has torn away out in a dark metal tone and add a hint of corrosion. Then unify the surroundings with a thin layer of dust.
The wheels are supplied raw, ready for cleaning and spraying.
