The Chieftain was a British Cold War main battle tank that entered service in the 1960s. It was marked by a strongly sloped glacis, a well-armored turret and a powerful 120 mm rifled gun, which was among the most powerful of its day. It was powered by a multi-fuel engine. The Mk.5 version was one of the updated variants, and the tank formed the backbone of British armored forces for many years.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic, and assemble and paint the running gear and the side skirts before you finish the hull. Apply primer and the paint with an airbrush; British Cold War tanks typically carried a single-color dark green or a two-color camouflage. Bring out the engraved lines with a wash and finish the dust and mud effects with pigments on the running gear and the lower hull. The thermal sleeve on the barrel and the side skirt mountings need careful cleanup.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
