A diorama element for a scene in 1:35 scale. It is not a model of a vehicle but building blocks that give a view mass and a believable building detail. It is one of the numbered variants of the RT-Diorama block range, so it can be combined with other numbers of the same range and the scene then does not look repetitive.
A block behaves differently in a building from a fired brick: it breaks into large pieces, holds its shape even after a hit and is easy to recognize in debris by its regular cavities. That is exactly why builders of dioramas reach for it whenever they are making a ruin - one broken block says more about the fate of a house than a heap of shapeless rubble. It turns up everywhere building was done quickly and cheaply in the twentieth century: in working-class districts, in makeshift extensions and in the support areas of factories.
In a debris scene it works well to pile the blocks up irregularly, at an angle and with gaps into which fine rubble can be poured. A few pieces carried further from the wall suggest the force of an explosion. The blocks also serve as an improvised barricade across a street or as cover at the entrance to a yard, around which infantry can be set out. For the view to read clearly it is good to leave a clear area between the heaps, so that the scene does not thicken into one shapeless mass.
