1:35 Corner with skulls base is a Black Dog base that brings corner masonry together with a bone motif.
Responsibility details are not available.
This piece joins two adjoining walls into a corner and supplements them with a motif of skulls. The theme is dark and the scene gains from it: the space reads as a place everyone would rather avoid, and a figure in it gains a strong context without a single further accessory.
A corner arrangement saves space in a display case and still offers two views, from the front and from the side. The bone elements placed low down lead the eye to the ground, so it helps to seat the figure a little higher or to lean it forward. Here less tends to be more: if you leave part of the area empty, the motif will come out far more strongly.
Bone is not white. It looks most convincing in ivory tones with a greenish cast in the shadows and a dark glaze in the hollows. Keep the stone masonry in a cool gray instead, so that the two materials do not merge into a single mass. Add moss sparingly and only in the corners where damp holds. It also works to mute the saturation of the whole area with a closing filter, so that the scene reads as somber and the individual elements do not compete with one another.
The piece is supplied to be finished to your own idea; the result rests mainly on telling the masonry and the bone parts apart by color.
