1:35 Crates for Panzerfaust 30 klein is an accessory set of transport crates for the German Panzerfaust 30 klein antitank weapon in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set represents transport crates for the German single-shot Panzerfaust 30 klein antitank weapon in 1:35 scale. It is not a model of the weapon but an accessory for Second World War dioramas: the crates suit the bed of a vehicle, a stores scene, a trench and figures issuing weapons. The full contents are given on the box of the set.
The Panzerfaust 30 klein was the smallest member of the family of German single-shot antitank weapons that reached the infantry in large numbers from 1943. The weapon consisted of a launching tube and a warhead fitted over it and was meant for fighting at short range. It was delivered to units in wooden crates, which then often appeared near positions, beside rear-area vehicles and among the rubble of built-up areas.
First clean the crates up and wash them so that the paint holds well. Wood is well imitated with a lighter base over which an oil color or a brown wash is drawn along the grain. Apply the lettering and markings with a fine brush so that they do not cover the texture of the wood. It helps credibility to lay some of the crates open or damaged and to add a little clutter around them.
This is an accessory set, not a model of the weapon.
