The resin detail set replaces the gun barrel of the British Cromwell cruiser tank with a version with a faithfully rendered canvas cover at the muzzle end. The casting captures the folds and gathers of the canvas that a real crew used to protect the barrel. It is an accessory, not a kit of the whole vehicle.
The Cromwell was a fast British cruiser tank from the later phase of the Second World War. The canvas cover on the barrel protected the mechanism from dirt and is a typical field detail which gives a model authenticity.
Wash the mold release agent off the part, cut the casting block away and glue it with cyanoacrylate. The canvas comes out well when painted in a different shade from the metal barrel and with the folds gently lightened with a dry brush; at the end, refine the dust and the wear with pigments.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
