1:35 Desert Storm 4. British Centurions in the Gulf 1990-91. 165mm AVRE.

Desert Storm 4 - British Centurions in the Gulf 1990-91 (1:35, Star Decals)

This is a sheet of wet, that is waterslide, decals in 1:35 scale, not a kit. The set is meant for marking models of the British Centurion 165mm AVRE engineer vehicle, which served in Operations Granby and Desert Sabre during the Gulf War.

The real subject and the markings

The Centurion AVRE (Armoured Vehicle Royal Engineers) was armed for demolition work and for breaching obstacles with a short 165 mm demolition gun. The sheet offers tactical numbers, national and unit emblems and further small lettering matching British vehicles from the desert campaign of 1990-91.

Use

• Lay the decals onto a smooth gloss varnish, which will prevent the silvering effect under the film.
• Cut the motif out as close as you can, dip it in lukewarm water for a few seconds and slide it onto the surface.
• Adjust the position, blot the excess water off and use a decal softener to draw the decal into the detail.
• Once dry, coat it with a matte or satin varnish to even the surface out.

Who the set is for

• Builders of modern British armor in 1:35 scale.
• Modelers interested in the war in the Persian Gulf.

The set holds decals only. The model, the paints and the varnish are not included in the package.
