The real subject

The E-10 belonged to the German E development series, that is, to the group of projects from the end of the Second World War that were meant to replace existing tracked vehicles with designs that were simpler to produce. It was a light, low and armored machine with sloped hull plates. The E-10 never reached series production, and that is exactly why modelers often reach for it: it is a subject that will not blend in among the usual tanks on a shelf.

What the set contains

The set brings tracks and, with them, drive sprockets in the correct shape, so two parts of the running gear that most influence the final impression of the model. It replaces the corresponding parts of a 1:35 scale kit. The exact number of parts, the recommended assembly sequence and which parts of the kit it is advisable to modify before fitting are given in the manufacturer's instructions.

Building and painting tips

• Dry-fit the parts first and check the wheel spacing, and only then glue them.
• Fit and shape the tracks before the paint on the running gear is fully cured; they are easier to settle that way.
• Paint the running gear and the lower hull while they are still accessible from above.
• Apply dust and mud from the bottom upward, so that the deposits match real service.

Who it is for

It will be appreciated by modelers who care about the running gear and want tracks with a truer sag than the contents of the box offer. The running gear is also the first place where a viewer of a finished model notices work done in a hurry. The kit itself, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
