A fence with poles in 1:35 scale is a resin scenic accessory from the Czech manufacturer Plusmodel, with which you divide the area of a diorama and give it scale.

The set holds fencing with poles cast from polyurethane resin. It is not a model of equipment but a building element of terrain: a fence closes a scene off, leads the viewer's eye and above all gives a diorama scale, because everybody can picture how high a fence really is. The manufacturer is the Czech company Plusmodel, which specializes in diorama accessories in 1:35 scale.
A fence comes into its own at the edge of a village scene, around a homestead, by a field track and as the boundary of a yard with equipment. It also works well unfinished or damaged: a pole pushed over and a missing panel read more naturally in a combat scene than a perfectly straight line. The elements can be shortened and put together so that the length matches the base, and combined with poured terrain, grass and leaves.
Wash the castings in lukewarm soapy water, cut the casting blocks off with a fine-toothed saw and glue the joints with cyanoacrylate glue. Push the poles into the base before the terrain hardens, as they then hold better than glued to the surface. Painting: a gray-brown base, oil glazes for a different tone on the individual boards, a dark wash into the grain and a dry brush on the edges. At the foot of the poles dust pigments and a hint of greenery pay off.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
