The figure 1:35 Fireman N°3 sits in the middle of the numbered line of civilian figures. It is supplied as one resin casting, without paint and without a base. The middle numbers of a line are usually the most useful in practice: they complete a scene in which you already have the main figure and add movement to it.
A simple rule applies: rather fewer and better painted figures than a crowd of rushed ones. Three figures around one vehicle already make a convincing scene and the viewer can take them in. With a larger number the scene loses its focus, unless you help it with differences in height, with turned backs or by having part of the group partly hidden by the vehicle.
First rid the casting of grease, then separate it from the casting block and glue the parts you have tried dry. Filling the seams, fine sanding and the base coat follow. Work the painting from the top down, so that the finished places do not get clogged. When you are adding a figure to an already painted vehicle, compare the two shades side by side before the final varnish; a figure tends to be noticeably more saturated and then looks like a foreign element.
