An Eduard photo-etched detail set for the 88 mm Flak 36/37 in 1:35 scale. A metal accessory for refining the kit of the German gun, not a stand-alone model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of photo-etched metal parts from Eduard meant to refine the plastic kit of the German Flak 36/37 gun of 88 mm caliber in 1:35 scale. It is not a model of the weapon but a detail accessory that replaces coarser plastic features with thin photo-etched parts. The scope of the set is described in the enclosed instructions.
The Flak 36/37 was the famous German 88 mm gun of the Second World War, originally meant for anti-aircraft defense. For its penetrating power, however, it became known above all as a feared anti-tank weapon. It was moved on a two-axle carriage, and in the firing position it rested on the spread arms of a cruciform carriage.
Separate the photo-etched parts from the fret, bend them on a bending tool and glue them with super glue. Detail and paint the fine shields, platforms and controls of the carriage section by section, while you can still reach them. Apply a primer before spraying; for weathering, a dark wash and dust pigments on the lower parts suit well.
The accessory does not hold the model itself, glue or paints. It is meant to complete an existing kit.
