French Shermans No. 1 - M4A2 in Normandy and Paris 1944 is a set of waterslide decals in 1:35 from Star Decals with the markings of the M4A2 Sherman tanks of French units in the summer of 1944.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a set of classic wet, that is waterslide, decals in 1:35 scale. It is neither a model nor an accessory to be assembled but a sheet of markings with which you finish and individualize your model of the M4A2 Sherman medium tank. The set is meant for models of the M4A2 Sherman in the matching scale.
The decals are tied to the French armored units that fought after the landings in Normandy and in the liberation of Paris in the summer of 1944. The M4A2 Sherman with its diesel engine formed the backbone of the French tank regiments. On the sheet you will find tactical numbers, national and unit emblems and the individual names given to vehicles by the crews of the day.
First coat the area under the decal with a gloss varnish, cut the piece out and dip it in lukewarm water for a few seconds. Once the backing has let go, move the decal onto the model and set its direction. For a perfect bond to rivets and pressings use a decal softener. Finally spray the whole model with a matte or satin clear varnish, which will blend the edges of the film into the surface.
This is a standalone set of decals. The model, the paints and the varnish are not included in the package.
