This is not a model of a vehicle but an add-on set for a scene: fruit in 1:35 that gives a diorama a civilian dimension and color. The manufacturer is the Czech brand Black Dog, whose range of accessories covers everything from baggage and cargo to the small equipment of households and markets.
A military diorama lives off contrast. A column driving through a village, a roadside stall, a basket on the bed of a supply truck or crates in front of a ruined house: fruit in a scene like that gives away at once that the action takes place among people and not in a vacuum. It works just as well in a purely civilian diorama, in scenes from the Mediterranean and Southeast Asia and in any situation where you want to add an accent of color.
Fruit is one of the few items in a scene where a saturated color pays off. Work from a light base toward colored glazes so that the result does not look flat, and add a fine transition on the sunlit side. A small spot of a darker tone will make a fruit believable faster than a perfect color will. At the end a satin varnish helps: a completely flat surface looks like plastic and a high gloss one like candy. Consider light dusting as well if the fruit is lying at a market by a dusty road.
