Fuel tank caps 1:35, variant 3 - 5 pieces is a resin set of small details for the Israeli Shot Kal, Nagmashot and Nagmachon vehicles.
Responsibility details are not available.
This resin set from the manufacturer Elefant contains, according to the name of the product, 5 fuel tank caps in 1:35 scale, in the version designated as variant 3. It is an accessory for a plastic kit of the Israeli vehicles derived from the Centurion tank, not the model itself. The manufacturer lists several cap variants alongside each other; what exactly distinguishes them should be compared against photographs of the particular machine.
Five small parts on one casting block is the situation in which something most often gets lost or broken. It pays to work over a tray with a raised edge and to cut the parts off one at a time, always only at the moment they go onto the model. Use a fresh blade or a fine saw and hold the casting with tweezers with soft jaws, not with nippers. Level the remains of the casting block on abrasive laid flat, so that the cap seats parallel with the hull. Before gluing, wash the parts in warm water with detergent because of the mold release agent and let them dry.
Sand the original plastic detail flat and try the new part dry. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue applied with a toothpick; a drop straight from the bottle would flood the small cap. Paint it together with the hull, bring out the seam around the cap with a dark wash and suggest worn finish on the rim. A fuel stain run down the slope of the surface will give the model an in-service look.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
