A scaled-down German twenty-liter jerrycan from the Second World War period, as the Dynamo-Models brand offers it in 1:35 scale. According to the information given in the name it is the version marked MIAG with the year 1944; the maker's marks on these containers differed from piece to piece and modelers use them to date a scene. In shape it is the well-known container with three handles on top and a lever closure on the neck.
Jerrycans are among the most frequent small items that bring a truck bed, the fender of a half-track tractor or the corner of a workshop scene to life. A container leaning against a crate, set down by a wall or passed from hand to hand between figures gives the scene both scale and story without overpowering the main model. It also serves well where a gap needs covering or an empty place on a vehicle platform needs filling.
The container takes a base in the shade of the vehicle, onto which a fine filter and local chipping on the edges of the pressed sheet metal go. Greasy traces around the neck, a trickle of spilled fuel and dust settled in the recesses turn a few millimeters of metal into a convincing detail. Handle the lettering and markings with a fine brush or a dry transfer; a decal lies less well on a shaped surface. Remember that a sheet metal container standing on the ground tends to be dirtier at the bottom than at the top.
This is a standalone accessory to be finished and painted; paints and glue are not supplied with it.
