A decal accessory for models of German military equipment in 1:35 scale. It is not a kit but a sheet of decals with which you finish a vehicle that has already been built and painted. According to the name the plates are printed complete with the frame, so no photo-etched or resin part has to be added to the model - a flat surface and the decal are enough.
A number of kits treat the place for a registration plate as plain sheet metal without any relief at all. In that case the version with a printed frame is the quickest route to a convincing result: the frame gives the plate visual thickness without your having to glue or sand anything. Where a kit or a photo-etched set already has the frame, on the other hand, the rendering without a frame suits better - the manufacturer makes that one too.
Work only after the base color has been sprayed and after the gloss varnish. Cut the decal close to the edge of the printing, so that the glossy carrier film is not visible, soak it for a few seconds and let it rest on damp paper until it starts to move. Transfer it into place with a brush, align it with the edges of the sheet metal and blot the water off. Once dry, unify the surface with matte varnish. If the vehicle is to be dusty, apply the pigment onto the varnished plate - the lettering then stays legible and at the same time does not look freshly polished.
This is an accessory for a model, not a kit. The base model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
