Responsibility details are not available.
This is a plastic figure set from Tamiya in 1:35 scale. The set holds five figures of a German machine gun crew from the middle period of the Second World War in action poses: soldiers at a tripod-mounted machine gun, a gunner with a machine gun resting on a wall, a soldier carrying ammunition boxes and a commander with a submachine gun. Weapons and decals for shoulder boards and collar tabs are included. The figures are an excellent basis for a war diorama or an accessory to models of equipment in the same scale.
In the Second World War the German infantry leaned on the general-purpose machine guns of the MG series. Machine gun squads formed the backbone of the firepower of infantry units; the crew was divided into gunner, loader and ammunition carrier. Those are the roles the set captures.
The figures have separate heads, torsos and arms, which makes both fitting and painting easier. Glue them with liquid cement for plastic. Apply a primer before painting; build the flesh tones of the faces up in layers, and bring the uniforms to life with a light lightening of the edges and shadows in the folds. Pick the equipment and the weapons out with a dry brush and fine weathering.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Paints and glue are not included in the package.
