A figure kit in 1:35 scale focused on a German soldier of the early period of the Second World War. Master Box is a Ukrainian brand known precisely for figure sets, which are sold separately and serve to complete finished models of vehicles or to build dioramas. It is not a model of a vehicle but a figure with which you give a scene scale and a story.
The time frame of 1939 to 1941 matters to a modeler, because the form of the uniform, the equipment and the personal kit changed over the course of the war. A figure from this period therefore belongs with the machines and scenes of the early war years, not with tableaux from its close. When you are putting a diorama together, it pays to keep to a single period for the vehicle, the figures and the accessories; otherwise the scene comes across as incoherent even to a viewer who does not follow the details.
Figures in 1:35 are assembled from several parts, usually with divisions at the shoulders and the waist. Once glued, fill and sand the joints so that no seam shows on the uniform. Paint over a thin base. Acrylic works well on the uniform and the equipment, and oil paints or slow acrylics on the face and hands, where you have time to blend the transitions. A final dark wash will draw out the folds and the engraving, and a matte varnish will unify the surface and rid the figure of unwanted sheen.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
