A plastic kit of the German Panzerträgerwagen railroad wagon - a tank carrier - from the manufacturer Trumpeter in 1:35 scale. The wagon served to carry light tanks by rail as part of armored trains; the model is usually accompanied by a smaller 38(t) type tank and a piece of track. The kit is intended to be glued and painted.
The Panzerträgerwagen was a flat railroad wagon adapted to carry tanks with German armored trains. The wagons had folding side walls protecting the running gear and a coupling that allowed quick uncoupling so that a tank could drive off under its own power. They were part of the standard formation of the BP 42 type armored train. Armored trains protected railroad lines and moved equipment in rear areas, and carriers with light tanks gave them mobile firepower immediately after a machine was unloaded.
Build and paint the wagon and the tank supplied separately, because you will then reach the details of both more easily. Use liquid cement for plastic, a primer and an airbrush. The rails and the running gear of the wagon will show to advantage after a wash and the application of rust and dust pigments, which give railroad equipment its typical worn appearance. Set the wooden surfaces of the floor apart in color and bring out the texture of the planks.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
