This is an accurately turned metal barrel with which you replace the plastic barrel from the original kit of the Panther Ausf. A tank in 1:35 scale. It is not a tank model, but an addition that raises the fidelity and the durability of the main gun. The metal version is perfectly straight and has no mold seam, which plastic barrels do get.

The real subject

The medium tank Pz.Kpfw. V Panther was among the most capable German tanks of the Second World War. Its long 7.5 cm KwK 42 gun with a high muzzle velocity was characteristic of the silhouette of the vehicle, and a faithful rendering of it markedly lifts the impression a finished model makes.

Building and painting tips

You simply seat the metal barrel in place of the plastic part, usually with no need to fill a seam. Before painting, degrease the metal and apply a suitable base (a primer for metal), so that the paint holds well.
