Evolution Miniatures 1:35 German soldiers, Second World War is an unpainted figure set in 1:35 scale for a diorama or to go with a model of military equipment.
Responsibility details are not available.
A figure set in 1:35 scale from the maker Evolution Miniatures with German soldiers of the Second World War period as its subject. It is supplied unpainted and unassembled. The name is in the plural, so it is a multi-figure set, but the exact number of figures is not stated here.
For the German field uniform of this period the gray-green shade known as feldgrau is used. The exact tone shifted over the course of the war, so choose one variant and keep it across the whole scene. The trousers tended to be somewhat darker or grayer than the tunic. The leather items, that is the belt, the straps and the pouches, are painted in black to dark brown, and metal buckles and clasps should be darkened and then gently polished. Keep the helmet in the same shade as the uniform, only with a higher proportion of gray and with a matte surface. The extent of the equipment and armament in the set is not specified here, so go by the actual contents of the package.
The material of the castings is not stated here. Wash resin parts first in warm water with detergent so that the mold release agent residue disappears, and glue them with cyanoacrylate. Polystyrene parts are bonded with modeling cement for plastic. In either case clean up the parting lines and the sprue nubs carefully. Spray the primer in a thin coat, because a heavy coat would flood the fine detail of a uniform. Build up both the uniform and the skin by layering from a dark base toward lighter transitions; acrylics dry quickly and take gradual corrections, while oils allow a smoother blend. Bring out the folds with a dark wash and the edges and raised areas with drybrushing. Do the face last and in good light.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
