The figures capture tank men in a moment of rest – in relaxed, natural poses which bring an assembled vehicle and a military diorama to life. The set is an ideal complement to models of German tanks of the Second World War.
The crews of German tanks in the Second World War wore the characteristic uniforms of the armored arm. Moments of calm away from combat – the crew resting by the vehicle, leaning against the hull or sitting on the armor – are among the favorite scenes for dioramas, because they give the vehicle a human dimension and a sense of scale. The natural poses of the figures add to the credibility of the whole scene.
Separate the figures from the sprues carefully and clean up the parting lines, especially on the faces and the hands. Fill the gaps at the joints with putty and sand them down. For painting, combine an airbrush on the larger areas with a brush on the detail – bring the face to life by layering shades and subtle toning, and unify the uniform with a light wash run into the folds. A matte clear coat at the end knocks back the sheen and evens out the surface.
The set of figures is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the vehicle are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
