A tiny accessory for building military vehicles and dioramas in 1:35 scale. The name defines two war years, the abbreviation of the works and a quantity of twelve pieces. GasPatch models is responsible for the set.
With mobile units drinking water was as closely watched a supply as fuel. It was carried in containers of the same shape as the fuel ones, so that they could be stowed in the same frames and baskets, but with a different neck and an unmistakable marking. They were carried two at a time, hung on the sides of vehicles and in a camp they stood by the kitchen or the washing place. It is exactly this double role that makes them a rewarding accessory: they work on a vehicle and laid loose in the terrain alike.
The period defined by the name is interesting in that it caught the change of the base coat of German equipment from gray to a dark yellow. You can therefore choose which of the two stages you assign the set to, or mix both and suggest older pieces nearing the end of their service beside new ones. Spray the containers separately on a skewer, finish the cross and the inscriptions with a thin brush and at the end unify the whole with a weak filter, so that the load and the vehicle belong together in color.
