The more extensive 1:35 Half track M 21 Big set from Black Dog is a comprehensive collection of accessories for the model of the American half-track vehicle.
Responsibility details are not available.
The item is marked as a big set, that is a more extensive collection of accessories for the same half-track vehicle, for which the manufacturer also makes smaller sets. The vehicle model is not included. The choice between the big set and the partial sets is mainly a question of how closely you want to fill the body and how much work you are willing to put into the arrangement.
Half-track chassis were a compromise between the wheel and the track: they kept a decent speed on the road and at the same time handled broken terrain better than a truck. The price for that was more demanding maintenance and the sensitivity of the track assembly to mud and stones. The result was machines that worked very hard but were also notoriously filthy, which is rather good news for a modeler, because it is on them that weathering looks natural.
With a larger collection it pays to prepare a plan of the arrangement beforehand, even just in pencil on paper. Spray and seat the parts that will end up underneath others first. At the end go over the whole surface with a unifying touch of dust so that the vehicle and the load look like one dust-covered whole, and only then add sharp light accents on the highest edges. A photograph of the work in progress will also help you spot the places that merge together up close, even though they look right to the eye.
