An injection-molded plastic figure set in 1:35 scale from Master Box. The set contains five figures of German and British infantrymen of the First World War in a dramatic scene of close combat, and a section of trench belongs to the set as well. The figures are captured grappling with one another, with period weapons. They are supplied on sprues and have to be glued and painted.
Close combat was a cruel reality of the trench warfare of the First World War. During raids on enemy trenches and in taking them, soldiers often met man against man, where firearms gave way to bayonets, trench knives, rifle butts and improvised weapons. The set factually captures one such moment of a clash between British and German infantry in a trench setting.
Assemble the interlocked figures carefully and keep checking that the parts seat properly. Glue the plastic with liquid modeling cement and clean up the mold seams. Paint the uniforms with acrylics, use a dark wash in the folds and bring out the edges with drybrushing. Weather the trench and the earth with dust and mud shades. A final matte varnish unifies the surface.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
