This is a detail accessory to a kit, not a separate model of the vehicle. The set from the maker DEF Model combines photo-etched parts with several resin elements and completes a model of the M113 armored personnel carrier in the version of the Israeli army (IDF) in 1:35 scale. It makes it possible to replace the coarser plastic parts with finer metal ones and to add the characteristic elements of the Israeli machines.
It holds the side baskets and grab handles typical of the Israeli M113, parts for the extended exhausts and further fine details that cannot be made from plastic with such accuracy. As a whole it moves the basic kit closer to the real subject and is a good basis for a collector-minded build.
Bend the photo-etched parts over a bending tool or a metal ruler and glue them with cyanoacrylate, or with a small drop of two-part epoxy on the joints that carry load. Wash the mold release agent off the resin elements and clean the casting blocks up. Degrease the metal before painting and prime it with a primer for metal.
