An injection-molded plastic kit of the Israeli Magach 6B Gal Batash main battle tank in 1:35 scale from Academy. The set uses nearly five hundred parts on a number of sprues and offers faithfully shaped passive armor including the protection of the lower hull, a gun of 105 mm caliber with a thermal sleeve, machine guns and rich external equipment such as stowage baskets, smoke grenade launchers, a jerrycan and tools. The tracks are supplied as vinyl ones in the Merkava pattern.
Magach is the Israeli designation for American tanks of the M48 and M60 series adapted for the needs of the Israeli army. The version based on the M60 was given the RISE upgrade and became the Magach 6B; the addition of a fire control system and later of a more powerful engine and fourth-generation passive armor led to the Magach 6B Gal Batash configuration.
Seat the vinyl tracks only once the running gear is finished, and take care over their correct tension. We recommend thin cement for plastic, a primer and an airbrush. For the Israeli desert shade, gentle lightening of the edges and weathering with washes and pigments for dust suit well.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
