A plastic kit of the Japanese Type 3 Chi-Nu medium tank in 1:35 scale from the Japanese brand FineMolds. The model faithfully captures this late Japanese medium tank of the Second World War with its prominent turret and longer gun. The package is stated to hold among other things part-assembled tracks and a decal sheet.
The Type 3 Chi-Nu was the last Japanese medium tank to go into series production in the Second World War. It came about in answer to the need for heavier armament and carried a 75 mm gun in a new turret on a chassis derived from the earlier types. Most of the vehicles stayed in Japan as a reserve for the defense of the home islands.
On a tank, assemble and paint the running gear before the hull is closed. Use thin modeling cement on the plastic, treat the surface with a primer and lay the colors on with an airbrush. The characteristic Japanese camouflage and the wear are rounded out with washes and pigments for dust and mud effects.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
