This kit from the Japanese manufacturer FineMolds holds figures of Imperial Japanese Army soldiers in a marching pose, in 1:35 scale. The set takes in several figures with separate equipment and weapons, which will serve well to bring dioramas to life and as an escort to models of Japanese hardware. The castings stand out for faithful anatomy and carefully rendered faces.
The Imperial Japanese Army deployed its infantry in characteristic uniforms and helmets with their typical field equipment. A marching column of soldiers is a rewarding and dynamic subject that gives a scene movement and a sense of scale.
Separate the parts carefully and join them with cement for plastic, then fill the seams. Paint the uniforms in shades of khaki and brown and set the leather straps and footwear apart in darker tones. Give the faces shading and fine highlighting.
