Industrial ladders in 1:35 scale are a diorama accessory for factory and technical scenes. They add vertical detail to the walls of halls, to tanks and to machinery.
Responsibility details are not available.
This item belongs among the scenic accessories, not among kits of vehicles or aircraft. It brings a feature that appears at every turn in a factory setting: firmly anchored ladders by which the staff reached tanks, crane runways, platforms above machines and the roofs of halls. In 1:35 scale it is exactly the kind of detail that gives an otherwise empty wall of a building depth and a legible sense of scale.
A vertical ladder is one of the few features that tell the viewer the height of a scene at once. It comes into its own wherever two levels meet.
A ladder makes sense only when it leads somewhere. Place it so that it ends at a hatch, a platform or the edge of a roof, not in the middle of a smooth wall. It also works strongly with a figure: a person caught halfway up can set a whole scene in motion and confirm the scale at the same time. If you are building a scene from the first half of the twentieth century, bear in mind that ladders were then fitted without the safety cages familiar from more recent plants.
