1:35 Type 69 II — photo-etched fenders and track covers from Voyager Model are an add-on set for a plastic kit you already own, not a model. The photo-etched brass replaces thick-walled plastic fenders with thin metal parts and is cut for the Takom 2054 kit.

A targeted aftermarket set, not a kit. It holds photo-etched brass parts in 1:35 scale meant to replace the fenders and track covers on the finished Takom 2054 plastic model. It is on these parts that the difference between plastic and photo-etched metal is best seen, because they are large thin sheets that in reality routinely bend and deform.
The Type 69 II is a Chinese medium tank derived from the design line of the Soviet T-54 and T-55 tanks. It carries a 100 mm gun, has a cast turret and the classic layout with the engine at the rear. Vehicles of this type were exported abroad and appeared in greater numbers in Iraqi service as well, among other things with additional side covers over the running gear.
Long flat parts are the most demanding for flatness with photo-etched parts. Before gluing them on, lay them on a glass plate and run a smooth roller or the side of a scalpel lightly over them, so that any ripple from production is straightened out. Glue a fender gradually from one end, and after every few centimeters check whether the edge follows the side of the hull. Dispense the cyanoacrylate minimally, otherwise the sheet will lift at the contact surface. If you want to bend or curve a fender realistically, do it after one end is glued on rather than on a loose part.
The set is an accessory for a model, not a kit. The kit, glue, paints and tools are not included in the package.
