A fire extinguisher in the British pattern in 1:35 scale. A small piece of equipment that lends a finished vehicle model credibility.
Responsibility details are not available.
Military vehicles carry a fire extinguisher because nobody outside can put out a fire inside the machine in time. The crew therefore keeps it within reach: in a bracket on the fender, on the side of the hull, on the engine compartment bulkhead or beside the driver seat. It is exactly such small things that tell apart a model that looks like a finished product from one that looks like a machine in use. The GB in the name refers to the British pattern.
An accessory in 1:35 scale, the most widespread scale for military vehicles. The part is small and for that very reason universal: it suits anywhere on a model or in a diorama where an empty spot is left by equipment the kit does not contain. It comes into its own on a vehicle, in an interior and in a scene, for example on a workshop wall or in a pile of equipment by the road.
The part is small, so work over a mat and with tweezers so that it does not spring away from you. Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder gently, then wash and degrease the part. Choose the glue according to the material it is made of. At this scale a simple sequence works: a base shade, a dark wash in the recesses and a lighter tone along the edges. A detailed label with lettering is not painted in; a light patch to suggest it is enough.
For modelers of military vehicles in 1:35 scale and for diorama builders who are finishing the equipment of a completed machine. Paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
