The accessory 1:35 Israeli M76 (OR-201) helmet - the detail variant is a small casting for altering figures in 1:35 scale. The manufacturer also makes the same helmet in a version without this designation.
Responsibility details are not available.
A modeling accessory of its own in 1:35 scale: a casting of the Israeli OR-201 helmet, in modeling practice also designated M76. It is an accessory for figures, not a kit or a finished figure. The accessory is marked as the detail variant; the manufacturer also makes the same helmet in a version without this designation, so go by the full wording of the name.
The OR-201 is an Israeli composite ballistic helmet introduced in the Israeli army in the 1970s. You recognize it by a smooth shell with no pronounced brim and by a conspicuous system of straps. For a model of Israeli infantry or of an armored vehicle crew it is a characteristic feature that a simplified helmet molded on a figure often fails to catch, and that is exactly why it is worth swapping.
Separate the casting from the casting block with a saw or a sharp knife, and do not snap it off. Wash a resin part in lukewarm water with detergent before painting and glue it with cyanoacrylate glue; a plastic one is joined with ordinary modeling cement. Wet-sand and do so with respiratory protection. A coat of primer is obligatory on small accessories, as without it the covering coat holds badly. Paint the helmet before you set it on the figure, and choose the shade according to the unit and period you are building. Pick out the straps and the edge of the shell with a dark wash and run a drybrush carefully along the edges: on a small area a mere hint really is enough.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The figure, glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
