Responsibility details are not available.
This is a photo-etched detail set from the Polish maker Aber for models of the German Jagdtiger (Sd.Kfz. 186) heavy tank destroyer in 1:35 scale. The package holds fine parts in photo-etched brass sheet that replace the coarser plastic elements, among them the engine deck grilles, the fenders and the tool clamps. Please note: this is not a model of the vehicle but a metal accessory for a plastic kit bought separately.
The Jagdtiger was the heaviest German tank destroyer in series production during the Second World War, built on a lengthened chassis of the Tiger II tank. It carried a massive 128 mm gun in a tall fixed superstructure and had very heavy frontal armor. Its enormous weight, however, made the vehicle slow and prone to breakdowns.
Photo-etched parts are trimmed off with a sharp blade or special scissors, bent over a bending tool and glued with cyanoacrylate glue or epoxy. The fine grilles over the engine come out especially well under realistic weathering. Degrease the metal before painting and prime it.
This is an accessory in photo-etched metal, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
