A plastic kit of the Japanese Light Armored Vehicle of the Ground Self-Defense Force in 1:35 scale from the Japanese manufacturer Tamiya. The compact four-wheeled vehicle takes up little room in a display case, and thanks to the proverbial accuracy of Tamiya parts it is a pleasant build even for less experienced modelers of military vehicles.
The Light Armored Vehicle of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force is a four-wheeled machine with an armored body, introduced into service from the beginning of the twenty-first century. It serves for reconnaissance, liaison tasks and the transport of small teams under basic ballistic protection. It became more widely known through the deployment of the Japanese contingent on overseas missions, where these vehicles formed the basis of the units' mobility. It is one of the most widespread items of the modern Japanese vehicle fleet.
The build goes quickly: Tamiya parts fit together accurately and thin cement for plastic is all they need. Paint the body with an airbrush in the Japanese two-color camouflage or in the uniform finish of overseas missions; fit the windows and the lights only after painting. A fine dust pigment on the fenders and the tires rounds off the look, so that the vehicle does not seem sterile.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
