1:35 Jungle Plant No.7

Jungle plant No.7 in 1:35 scale

The accessory 1:35 Jungle Plant No.7 closes the set of seven numbered variants of RT-Diorama tropical vegetation meant for low growth. It is not a model of a vehicle or a figure but an element of the setting for dioramas and vignettes. The numbering of the range serves to let the growth be put together from several different plants.

Layering greenery creates depth

A believable jungle is not one layer but several above one another: fallen leaves and debris on the ground, low growth and grass, more prominent plants and the crowns of trees above all that. When a scene is missing one of the layers it looks flat even with careful work. So buy the taller plants along with material for the ground and with grass accessories; only together do they give a scene depth. The reverse holds too: the best growth at ground level will stay unnoticed until something grows above it.

Tips for placing it in the scene

• Build the scene from the bottom up: the ground first, the striking greenery last.
• Alternate dense and thin patches; even growth looks artificial.
• Leave one or two plants leaning or broken; untouched jungle does not exist.
• Choose the way of fixing them according to the groundwork of the scene and the make of the parts.
