A set of three-dimensional (3D) decals for the interior of the cab of an armored truck in 1:35 scale. The elements are printed and in color from the factory, they have raised relief of the instruments, the controls and the bezels and they are applied on decal paper directly onto the parts from the kit. On vehicles with a glazed or opening cab it is precisely the instrument panel that is the detail most visible from outside. The name lists the set as the smaller variant, so it covers a narrower selection of surfaces than the full version. The dimensions and shapes follow the Zvezda kit.
The KAMAZ-43509 is a heavy armored truck with all-wheel drive, placed in the Typhoon family. The crew sits in a separate armored module with a high-set cab and flat, markedly sloped front faces. The interior of the cab is richer in controls than that of an ordinary truck, which shows on a model precisely on the instrument panel and on the side panels.
Three-dimensional decals are released from the backing paper in water like a decal: the part is soaked in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and slid off the paper into place, where it holds on gloss varnish. A softener or a setting solution, however, is not used on them at all, as they would damage the printed resin layer. Go by the instructions enclosed with the set. Keep the base degreased and perfectly dry, lay the parts down with tweezers and try the fit dry. On military vehicles a little fine dust and traces of use are usually added to the cab as well, so let the interior dry and weather it only once all the elements are in place.
This is not a model of the vehicle but an accessory set for the interior. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
