The KAMAZ K-4386 Typhoon-VDV is a wheeled armored car in a 4x4 layout, developed for the Russian airborne troops. The design puts the emphasis on protecting the crew against a blast under the vehicle, as the designation itself says: the hull is carried high above the ground and the vehicle stands on large wheels with a coarse tread pattern. The word Early in the name marks out the early form of the vehicle from the later reworkings.
The 1:35 scale is the most widespread one for armored vehicles, so you can complete the model with figures, equipment and further accessories from a wide range. A modern wheeled vehicle is also a rewarding subject: plenty of glazing, an intricate underside and large wheels give room for work with dust and mud, even to a modeler who has so far only built tracked subjects.
Try the assembly dry first, above all on the hull and the wheel suspension, so that the vehicle ends up standing straight on all four. Cut excess material and traces of manufacture off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder down. Wash and degrease the whole before painting, otherwise the finish will not hold. If you give the tires a weighted flat, it has to face the ground. The particular gluing sequence is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Paints, glue and a base are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
