This detailed accessory set holds individual plastic links of the running tracks in the early (initial) version for the German Mörser Karl 040/041 heavy self-propelled siege mortar in 1:35 scale. It is an accessory for the running gear, not a stand-alone model.
The Mörser Karl 040/041 was a German self-propelled siege mortar of the Second World War of exceptional caliber, deployed against heavily fortified targets. Given its enormous weight it carried massive, wide running tracks; the early version differs from the later one in the shape of the links.
Given the size of the running gear, clean the links up carefully and assemble them step by step around the drive sprocket and the road wheels. Glue them with plastic cement and watch the correct run of the track. After painting, emphasize the depth of the links with a wash and apply dense dust and mud pigments.
The set is an accessory, not a complete model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue, paints and the basic kit are not included in the package.
