The Eduard photo-etched set for the King Tiger heavy tank in 1:35 scale is a photo-etched detail accessory for refining a plastic kit, not a model of the tank.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched (brass) detail set in 1:35 scale from the Czech manufacturer Eduard. It is not a model of the tank but an accessory for refining the plastic kit of the German King Tiger heavy tank. The photo-etched parts replace and complete small features that cannot be made faithfully in injection-molded plastic - typically fenders, tool clamps, grilles and fine exterior details of the hull and the turret. The set is meant for modelers who want to lift a base kit to a higher level.
The King Tiger (Tiger II) was a German heavy tank of the closing stage of the Second World War. It was armed with a long-barreled 88 mm gun and protected by thick sloped armor, which made it one of the hardest tanks of its day to destroy. It was used on the Western and the Eastern Front, though its combat value was reduced by its great weight and fuel consumption.
Separate the photo-etched parts carefully from the fret, bend them on the edge of a blade or in a bending tool and join them with super glue (cyanoacrylate) or with a two-part glue. Give matte brass areas a primer before varnishing. Washes and pigments will help bring out mud and dust effects on the running gear. Working with fine photo-etched parts calls for tweezers, a sharp knife and patience, so it suits more advanced builders.
This is not a model but a detail accessory. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
