A sheet of decals in 1:35 scale for the M4A3E8 Sherman tanks of the Korean War, including the conspicuous tiger faces painted on the front of the machine.
Responsibility details are not available.
The M4A3E8 is a late version of the Sherman tank with a suspension that has horizontally mounted volute springs and wider tracks, thanks to which it is steadier in motion than the older forms. Among the soldiers it earned the nickname Easy Eight. These machines entered the Korean War as proven equipment and in the broken terrain of the peninsula they did a great deal of work.
The sheet in 1:35 scale is devoted to precisely these Korean Shermans, and its main draw is the tiger faces that the crews of some units painted on the front of their machines. The result is a model that will draw attention in a display case even without a diorama. The breakdown of the variants and the exact placing of the elements are given in the instructions supplied with the sheet.
Large designs call for a smooth base. Coat the place with gloss varnish, cut an element out close to the printing and soak it for a few seconds in lukewarm water. Once it has released from the backing paper, transfer it onto the model, press the water out with a soft cloth from the center toward the edges and even out the broken places with a softener. Once it has dried, go over the area with varnish, so that the edges of the carrier film disappear.
The sheet is for builders of American armored equipment who want something more striking than the ordinary markings. A model, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
