Colored 3D-printed Quinta interior elements for a KrAZ-260 model in 1:35 scale, for the HobbyBoss kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The KrAZ-260 is a Soviet heavy off-road truck with all-wheel drive and a boxy cab set high above the front axle. With the doors open, more of the cab of such a vehicle is visible than anyone who has never built one would expect, and bare plastic parts turn it into an empty shell.
Colored interior elements produced by 3D printing, carried on a paper backing. They are applied to the parts of the cab and replace the hand painting of small details: the instruments, the controls and the pattern of the upholstery. The elements are shaped for the HobbyBoss kit in 1:35 scale.
First rid the area under an element of flash and of any molded detail that would make a bump beneath it, and paint the base in a dark shade. Cut the element out with a sharp blade and try it dry in place. Soak the sheet briefly in lukewarm water and slide the element off the backing paper onto a gloss clear coat, which holds it; it has no adhesive layer of its own and a softener would damage the printed resin. Work with tweezers and clean hands; the printed color layer is sensitive to grease. Press a seated element into place with a soft tool, so that it sits down in the hollows as well.
For modelers who are building the cab with the doors open or who want to see into the vehicle, and for those who do not feel like painting an instrument panel with a brush. The kit itself, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
