A detail set from the manufacturer Quinta Studio for models of the Soviet and Ukrainian KrAZ-260 heavy truck in 1:35 scale. This is not a kit of the vehicle but a collection of fully colored 3D relief decals on decal paper, completed with several 3D-printed resin parts. The set replaces the flat parts of the cab with a faithful, three-dimensional and colored interior. It is based on the dimensions of the Takom kit.
The decals are produced by 3D printing, so they have real relief and are colored in advance, including the dials, the switches and the texture of the upholstery. They are applied as wet decals: after soaking they slide off the paper and settle onto the appropriate part of the cab; the resin parts enclosed are glued with cyanoacrylate glue. The lengthy painting of small details is thereby avoided. Working on a clean, smooth base is recommended. Do not use decal softener or setting solution; the chemicals would damage the printed resin layer.
The KrAZ-260 is a heavy all-wheel-drive off-road truck built in Ukraine, widely used by the army for transport and as a chassis for bodies. The roomy cab with its prominent instrument panel is a rewarding place for detailing on a model.
The set contains interior 3D decals and resin parts, not a model of the vehicle. Paints and glue are not included in the package.
