Hauler 1:35 Kübelwagen is a photo-etched accessory set for a kit of this light off-road car you have already bought, not a model in its own right. It replaces thick plastic details with fine brass parts.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set of photo-etched parts in 1:35 scale from the Czech maker Hauler is prepared for the kit of the light off-road car given in the name of the product. You are buying an accessory for a kit, not a model. On a car with such a simple, angular body every detail counts - it is precisely the grilles, the hinges, the fittings and the equipment brackets that decide whether a model makes the impression of a scaled-down original or of a toy.
The Kübelwagen was a German light off-road car derived from a civilian model, with a flat angular body, an air-cooled engine at the rear and rear-wheel drive. The design was deliberately simple and light; the car was used for liaison and transport tasks on every front of the Second World War. For a modeler it is interesting in that its simple shape lets the small fittings and gear stand out.
Brass is non-absorbent and smooth, so without preparation of the surface paint will not hold - once the parts have been cut out, degrease them with spirit, let them dry and go over them with a thin primer, ideally sprayed rather than laid on with a brush. Leave the small parts on the sheet as long as you can and separate them only at the moment of assembly. Work over a tray or light-colored cloth, so that a part that springs away does not disappear into the carpet. Glue with super glue in gel, which gives you a few seconds to line things up. When painting, leave the edges of the plates a shade lighter than the area, so that the thin material tells optically.
The set completes a kit; it is not a model in its own right. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
