The Kurganets-25 is a Russian tracked armored platform presented in the middle of the second decade of this century. The basic idea is a common tracked chassis with the engine at the front, on which differently armed superstructures are built, from an infantry fighting vehicle with a turret to an armored personnel carrier. The layout with the power pack at the front frees the rear for a troop compartment with a ramp. The vehicle has modular armor and, compared with older tracked carriers, falls into a higher weight class.
Assemble and paint the running gear before you close the hull, as it is hard to maneuver a brush between the wheels later. Fit the tracks, whether link-and-length or of a soft material, only once they are painted, otherwise you will rub the paint off. The large flat surfaces of the hull call for sprayed paint; a brush will leave marks on them. Bring the modular armor panels out with a dark wash into the joints, because on this type it is precisely the dividing lines that make the silhouette legible. Finally add dust pigments from the bottom upwards and mud effects into the running gear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the box, unless stated otherwise.
