A PANZER ART accessory to a kit of the light cross-country truck. It renders the covered section of the vehicle with the canvas stretched over it, that is, an element that is modeled from thin plastic parts only with difficulty: the sag of the fabric, the creases around the fittings and the stiff edges of the taut canvas are shaped right away.
The Krupp L2H 143 belonged among the most typical vehicles of the German army at the turn of the 1930s and 1940s. It gained the Protze nickname from its main role: it carried the crews and ammunition of 3.7 cm anti-tank guns and towed the gun itself behind it. Its distinguishing marks were the sloping rounded nose, behind which an air-cooled flat engine was hidden, and a three-axle chassis with the rear pair of axles driven. The vehicles appeared in other roles too, however, from liaison and reconnaissance to ambulance, and they stayed in service long after production ended.
The canvas belongs among the most rewarding surfaces of the whole model. Choose the basic shade lighter than you want to have in the end, and add depth with a dark wash, which will flow into the folds by itself. Then go over the raised places gently with a dry brush. It is good to exaggerate the difference between the canvas and the painted sheet metal of the vehicle a little, otherwise the two merge into one tone.
