The set from Art Scale brings two finely cast Lewis Mk.III machine guns in 1:35 scale. It is not a vehicle or aircraft kit, but a resin accessory suited to figure scenes, to armored vehicles with anti-aircraft armament and to smaller dioramas. The casting faithfully captures the cylindrical cooling shroud of the barrel as well as the pan magazine.
The Lewis was a British light machine gun of the First World War, used by infantry and also as a flexible weapon on vehicles and aircraft. In 1:35 scale it suits figures and equipment above all, where it serves as a prominent element of the armament.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, separate them from the casting blocks and bond them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. Paint the weapon in metallic shades, bring out the recesses with a dark wash and the edges with a dry brush.
The set holds only the resin parts of the weapons. Glue, paints and further models are not included in the package.
