An injection-molded plastic kit of the French Lorraine 38L VBCP tracked armored personnel carrier in 1:35 scale from RPM. The model captures the small tracked vehicle intended to carry an infantry squad into battle under the protection of armor. The Lorraine 38L was originally created as a tracked supply tractor for the French army. The VBCP version served as an infantry armored personnel carrier: it carried soldiers in the body of the vehicle and in a towed armored trailer and gave them protection while moving up to the battlefield. After the defeat of France in 1940 the German army took over and went on using some of the captured vehicles, and it used the chassis for a number of conversions as well.
The model contains small parts and a tracked running gear, which you should assemble and paint before finishing the hull. Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic and cut them off carefully. French vehicles wore multi-color camouflage, while captured examples wore German shades; after the base color and the varnish, bring out the details with a wash and add dust and mud pigments on the tracks and the chassis.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
